A Premiere → Resolve handoff breaks in two places. The timeline: XML and AAF only approximate it. Speed ramps, transforms and transitions come in wrong or not at all; audio loses its routing; nests arrive sealed, their shots out of reach; multicam — a nest under the hood — goes offline unless you flatten every clip by hand; and fractional frame rates round into drift you find deep in the grade. The media: ship terabytes of camera originals, or start the grade chasing offline clips. Konformista fixes both.
The whole workflow
Build the conform in Konformista, complete it at the Resolve end, and bring the grade home — every step tracked on the Project Hub.

Build the conform
Drop a .prproj on the Hub. Konformista reads the native project — it never has to open Premiere — lists every sequence, and finds your media across the folders you point it at. Originals or proxies, your call.
Every clip, transform, retime, transition and audio route is checked against what Resolve can reproduce, then flagged by severity — each with a plain-language explanation and a recommended action. The conform doubles as a QC pass.
Build a portable .konform package — with or without trimmed media — or Send to Resolve directly. Flags ride along as markers, clip colours and a conform report.
↳ Issues group by category. Select any clip for what it means and what to do in Resolve — with its track and timecode.
Preflight severity
A flag isn't a problem — it's a heads-up. One consistent scheme runs through the analysis, the clips in Resolve, and the Review window. Work reds and oranges first, then a quick pass over the rest.
Fix before you conform. Something is wrong — e.g. media offline. Relink it and re-analyse.
Won't transfer — rebuild in Resolve. Clip effects and Warp Stabilizer.
Verify after import. Speed ramps, approximated transitions, nested sequences, collapsed tracks.
Done for you — spot-check. Solid-colour generators — Color Matte and Black Video rebuilt natively.
A note for reference. Reframing & scaling, constant speed, freeze frames, opacity keyframes, audio effects, markers, Lumetri settings.
A stand-in you'll replace. Graphics, adjustment layers and synthetic media arrive as disabled placeholders.
↳ The full catalogue of every flag lives in the docs.
The apps
Konformista isn't tied to a role. Whoever holds the footage runs it — an editor preparing a turnover, or a colourist handed a Premiere project who conforms it themselves.
Analyses a Premiere project, flags conform risks, and either sends the timeline straight to Resolve or builds a .konform package. Also writes the graded project on the return trip.
Opens a .konform package — with or without trimmed media — and imports it into Resolve. For the colourist who doesn't need the full app.
● Free downloadThe window you keep open beside the grade — relink and manage every clip online, offline or mismatched, batch markers and colours, build a VFX pull, and track your time and invoice. Reached from the floating tools palette over Resolve, or run as a standalone app.
At the Resolve end
Your checklist during the grade. Every flagged clip, grouped by issue, with the same what-it-means guidance the editor saw. Click a row to jump the Resolve playhead to that clip, tick it reviewed, and watch the progress bar climb.
Every media clip in the project at a glance — online, offline or frame-rate mismatch. Select the offline ones, point Konformista at a folder, and apply the confident matches. Batch colours, flags, markers and takes from one action bar.
Beyond the conform
Mark ranges on the timeline and Konformista gathers the source clips beneath them, padded with handles, into a pull timeline — queues the plate renders in Resolve, writes a CSV shot list that ShotGrid, ftrack or Nuke Studio can import, and keeps a turnover ledger of what went where, and which version.
When the grade is done, drop the delivery on the Hub. Konformista matches it to the job and writes a new Premiere project pointing at the graded masters — your exact edit, effects intact, now on the colour-corrected picture. Every pass versioned so nothing is overwritten.
Trimmed media
Camera originals are big. Turn on Pack trimmed media and the .konform carries only the frames your edit uses of the original camera files, plus handles. On import, Konformer unpacks normal, online, gradeable media on the other side — same names, same timecode, no quality loss.
